Not sure why some people are leaving bad reviews. Some people are just miserable. The hotel is spot on. Fridge in the room and a balcony. You get what you pay for and all is absolutely fine. Its clean with a nice powerful shower etc! You will need to be familiarise yourself with using transport. Metro is best as it is a 7 min walk away and it can take you anywhere. The hotel isn't central but central Rome hotels are about £70 extra per night. Would also add breakfast as it is cheap but is actually really good. Sausage and bacon not great but everything else is amazing. Would highly recommend. Just familiarise yourself with transport and be comfortable to walk! Rome is a city that requires lots of it as we did 20k steps a day.

I was really hesitant to visit this hotel due to some of the negative reviews BUT I can honestly say we had a great stay! Yes, it’s about 4km from the city centre but the main train terminal and metro are about a 5 -10 minute walk from it. The rooms were clean, the breakfast was a typical continental type breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, a range of pastries, bread etc and the service was good. It is in the university area of Rome so busy at night but we really had a good stay. We also ate at a lovely little Italian restaurant nearby. Overall, a good stay and I will think twice before I believe negative reviews!

We booked a triple room, was plenty big enough for us, although there wasn't really anywhere to put empty suitcases. The room was clean and comfortable. Air con didn't really work though, so it was a little warm and it would have been nice if there was seating on the balcony as we would have used it more if that was the case. The fridge and kettle were a useful addition. Breakfast could have done with more vegan options, there was no soya milk or spread, but we were able to get things from the local lidl (about 10 mins walk away) to take down with us. There was plenty of fruit and we noticed on an allergen list that there were vegan cornetti, however we had to ask a member of staff to point this out to us as the item itself wasn't labelled. My 12 year old loved the cornetti and ate 5 at our first breakfast. During our stay staff were there when we needed them but not intrusive. It was easy enough to get into rome Policlinico metro was about 5 mins walk away and it was easy to purchase tickets at only 1.50 euros. We liked 'pizza dai cinque' across the road to pick up a quick bite to eat, they also usually had at least 3 cheeseless vegan options which were very tasty. You do occasionally hear sirens but I can't say we really noticed it all that much and it was a lots quieter than being in the centre of Rome. All in all a very good place to stay for the money.

We were told on arrival that we’d been upgraded. If this room is deluxe, I dread to think what it must be like in the standard rooms. The walls are paper thin. I have never stayed in a room where the occupants of the adjacent rooms are keeping you awake by using their shower. The noise the water makes is deafening- it’s as if your neighbours are using your bathroom. You can hear EVERYTHING. The room itself is a decent size but there is NO storage. Literally none. We have a rail and a large shelf underneath; all our clothes are out on display like a jumble sale. There is a safe to use free of charge, which is a bonus. There is a TV but no international channels like BBC World News, which is odd in a hotel in a capital city. The kettle is tiny: be careful you don’t overfill it as it boils over. Good selection of teas and coffees and bottled water available in the fridge. The room is clean and the bed linen is good but the pillows are firm verging on hard. We have been able to open our window, which is just as well as the air con is not working. The hotel is a good 15 minute walk from Roma Termini but there is a metro station nearby. The location is strange: surrounded by hospitals. You are constantly serenaded by ambulance sirens. There is also a steep flight of steps to get to Reception: it wasn’t easy hauling my case up those, and I’m not sure there was an accessible alternative. We were told on booking that this hotel has a spa. No idea where that is, as we haven’t been able to find it. The breakfast room is below ground level but bright enough. The food selection was not bad- mostly continental breakfast fare, a few hot food items and a good selection of cake and pastries. There doesn’t appear to be a bar in the hotel, which is odd. There are lots of bars and cafes in the vicinity but very few restaurants. Would not recommend for a leisure stay. This is only our second night but I can’t imagine our view will change. You really should be able to count on a decent night’s sleep in a Best Western hotel. Disappointing.

Dated hotel with paper thin walls, old Ill fitting windows in a very noisy busy location. Hotel claims to be air conditioned. This is a lie. It does not work whatsoever. Because it’s so noisy outside you need the windows closed which makes the rooms stuffy and hot. This is March so God knows what it’s like in the summer. Walls are so thin you can hear conversations next door and TV playing. Hardly any sockets to charge phones. Breakfast is adequate. They ran out of coffee cups this morning. No menus for dinner. You have to scan a QR code.
